Zillah Teapot Dome

This project consisted of relocating the historic Teapot Dome landmark, originally built in 1922, into the City of Zillah to serve as a visitor/tourist center. The building, which was vacant for many years and slowly deteriorating, was renovated and brought back to life. The new site was designed to mimic the Teapot Dome’s long-time gas station operation. Work included construction of an asphalt parking area, stormwater facilities, fencing, new public restroom structure, visitor kiosks, site landscaping, and pedestrian lighting.

HLA provided environmental processes, design services, preparation of construction plans and specifications, bidding services, and construction observation and administration.
