Job Description:

HLA Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc. HLA is seeking a highly motivated and skilled full-time Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (LPE) to join our growing engineering firm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Our LPEs have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects both in type and size.

Responsibilities:

Full-cycle project management including project formulations, and funding strategies.
Prepare and/or oversee the project budgeting process, infrastructure planning reports, municipal street and utility financial analyses, and federal and state funding applications.
Management of environmental reviews.
Regulatory agency compliance.
Design and oversee the construction of various civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, water and wastewater systems, and other infrastructure.
Direct and conduct site visits, inspections, and surveys to gather information for project design.
Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
Manage and supervise the work of junior engineers, including Engineer’s-in-Training (EIT’s), and CAD Technicians.
Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time.
Developing and managing contracts and Task Orders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
Professional Engineer License in the State of Washington
Strong technical knowledge in areas such as geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, and transportation engineering.
Experience with design software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Proven ability to meet budget and deadlines.
Strong experience in project management and meeting client needs.
Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
Desire to work with engineering staff at all levels and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Motivated, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Professionalism and attention to detail.
Minimum of two years civil engineering project management experience.
Commitment to professional development and continuing education.

This is a full-time salaried exempt position with competitive base pay. Compensation for this position ranges from $7,600.00 - $10,500.00 monthly salary depending on experience and number of hours worked. LPE’s are paid for all extra hours worked in addition to their salary.
