With HLA’s assistance, the Town applied for and received a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Regional Mobility Grant for this park and ride project.
The project constructed a park and ride facility adjacent to the local Naches Event Center, picnic shelter, baseball fields, Naches River access, and to the Yakima Greenway path, all of which supports a more active lifestyle for citizens in the area. The facility promotes ride sharing, and reduces the overall carbon footprint along this corridor. Improvements included 85 parking stalls, storm water facilities, sidewalks, illumination, one electric charging station with additional conduit installed for future charging stalls, signage, pavement markings, and a bicycle rack.
HLA provided topographic survey for design, plans, specifications, assistance with environmental permitting, and construction observation and administration.
