With significant longitudinal and transverse cracking in the existing asphalt pavement, and areas lacking sidewalk and ADA-compliant curb ramps, the City of Selah received a TIB grant for these improvements.
Work was divided into two schedules, including a schedule for resurfacing of the roadway and utility adjustments, and a schedule for completing gaps in the sidewalk system and ADA-compliant ramps. Work included planing the existing asphalt, crack sealing, retaining wall construction, sidewalk, curb ramps, resurfacing with hot mix asphalt, and new pavement markings.
HLA services included funding application assistance, design engineering, plans, specifications, bidding assistance, construction observation and management, and funding administration services.
