The City of Sunnyside rehabilitated their existing Skyline Reservoir and Grandview Reservoirs to address deficiencies found during diver inspections at all four tanks and a seismic assessment of the Skyline Reservoir tank and foundation. Rehabilitation of the Skyline Reservoir included tank ringwall foundation and anchorage improvements, as well as ladder safety upgrades, roof access platform and hand railing, new overflow piping, and recoating of the tank interior. Rehabilitation of the Grandview reservoirs included new access ladders and isolation valves for all three tanks. Other site improvements included storm drainage, landscape restoration, and fencing. The work was completed in two phases. The final phase, which consisted of recoating the Skyline Reservoir exterior, was completed in 2020.
