In preparation for expansion of the CPC International Apple Co. packing facilities, the City of Tieton constructed a new source well to serve anticipated future industrial water demand. This project included drilling a new source well; installation of a new submersible well pump; construction of a new well control building, complete with meter/piping, electrical, diesel engine generator; and future chlorine disinfection rooms, site improvements, and water main extension for connection of the new source well to the City’s existing distribution system.
HLA provided funding application and administration assistance, coordination with WDOH for the well site location, topographic survey, preparation of final well site property record of survey and restrictive well covenants. Other work included engineering design; preparation of well drilling, well pump, and well control building bid documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates. During construction, HLA provided construction administration and inspection services, construction staking, startup assistance, preparation of WDOH well source approval report, and final project closeout.
Electrical and control system engineering design, construction administration, programming, startup, and commissioning assistance was provided by HLA’s electrical subconsultant, Connetix Engineering, Inc.
